Towns

Towns as the name implies is an addon that allowes the creation of land claims to build your personal villages, towns, cities etc.
As with every town you will have management personnel such as mayor, or village chief etc.
Invite players to your town and grow together!
Ally with other towns and create Nations!
Grow your massive town but be wary, the more players your town has the higher the upkeep cost will be.
You can strengthen your town with Soldier NPCs and watchtowers!

But be aware, your town can go into debt, the longer you are in debt the sooner claimed territories will disappear till the very end when your whole town will get dissolved.

Build a jail to house enemies or bad rep outsiders
If an enemy or a bad reputation outsider gets killed in your town he will lose all his items except his money and get sent to jail, where he can serve his sentence and be interrogated, depending on reputation / status, or pay a fee to be released.

Your watchtower will keep an eye out for any enemies or bad rep outsiders near your town, should it spot one it will send a message and shoot a firework above the enemy every few seconds. However be aware that once the enemy is inside your town and outside your watchtowers reach he will no longer be marked!

The status of your nation will change depending on your actions, such as declaring war, or your towns reputation.
Your towns reputation is an average of your townspeople reputation.

Each town has the option to draw their own emblem to be viewed when joining or on leaderboards.

Build your town hall, upgrade it to hold meeting along with other town chiefs!

Create a truce with other towns or nations!
Build a bank to collect taxes from your townspeople for upkeep and in preparation for war!

Yes you heard right! WAR!
Nations or towns can declare war on each other to raid others for resources, money, and grow their own kingdom!
You can set your nation to either friendly, hostile, or neutral.
In order to attack you must first set your town to hostile, after 72 hours you can attack another town
If you are a neutral town/nation you cannot attack or be attacked, however your upkeep cost rises dramatically, changing into a neutral town/nation takes 120 hours
Cooldowns vary from size of town/nation
The status of your nation will change depending on your actions, such as declaring war.
During war you have to defend your capitol city or city hall. If it falls your nation or town has fallen.
Allied nations/town will get notified about a declaration of war. A nation can only start attacking after 48h of their war declaration. In order to declare war the enemies chief has to be online.

Different types of War:

Riot
A riot can happen if players are unsatisfied with their current town chief. Townspeople can either side with the current chief or the rebel. If the rebels win, their leader becomes the new town chief

Civil War
Civil war happens within a nation if a town is unsatisfied with the current capital and instead wants their own town to be the capital city. Towns can either join the defending towns side or the attacking towns. Should the attacker win, then their town becomes the new capital of the nation.

Independence War
If a town in a nation wants to leave the nation and the capital city refused, it can fight for its freedom, this can go down 2 ways. either a 1v1 between the capital city and the leaving town or towns within the nation can pick a side and who to fight for. Should the rebel town win in the 1v1 it will leave the nation. If it wins normally other towns who helped will also be given a choice to leave.

It doesnt have to always come as far as war.
We always have a civil way which is initiating a vote.
The town chief or nation leader can initiate votes.

Different Type of Votes

Mayor Votes
Vote who will be the next mayor of the town.
Townspeople can put up their names for mayor immediately after the vote was initiated.
After that there is a 48h cooldown before you can vote for a candidate.
Mayor can veto the result

Capital City Vote
Only happens once, on the creation of the nation.
After the creation there is a 120h cooldown before voting
Each town has one vote which the major of each town uses to vote for the capital city

Attacking other Nations or Towns works a bit differently
During wars affected players cannot use tps. If they die they will automatically be teleported to their town. Allied towns or nations can however still tp to each other.
If players during war die, their respawn time will get increased

Attackers

In order to attack you must first set your town to hostile, after 72 hours you can attack another town
Cooldowns vary from size of town/nation
The status of your nation will change depending on your actions, such as declaring war.
A nation can only start attacking after 48h of their war declaration.
In order to declare war the enemy chief has to be online.

You can setup a Truce Fee for the enemy which if he pays ends the war.
If the defender reclaims a plot of land the attacker has to pay a fee to the defender depending on the type of plot.
During war there is a war fee for the attacker for each war flag getting places.
the war ends if either the attacker claims the town hall, the enemy surrenders, the enemy pays the truce fee, or the attacker runs out of money

All plots conquered by the attacked stay unclaimed for 24h after the war is over making it a free for all for the resources.
after 24h the plot automatically gets claimed back by the town and any griefing will get rolled back, except resources in chests, itemframes, armorstands, etc.

After having attacked a town/nation it cannot be attacked again within 14 days.

In order to initiate a war you must have a flag bearer who has made enough war flags to get to the town hall of the city.
War starts when the flag bearer places a flag on an enemy chunk and right clicks it. That chunk is now being attacked and a beacon will illuminate.
the beacon will have a different color depending on how much time is left before the enemy has taken over the chunk. 10 minutes per attack.
If the beacon get broken by the defending town the offensive is halted. The defenders now have 2 minutes to stay in the attacking chunk and survive and it will get reclaimed. if it got reclaimed the defenders can break the war flag, if not you can right click the war flag to start the timer new and summon a new beacon.

During wars affected players cannot use tps. If they die they will automatically be teleported to their town. Allied towns or nations can however still tp to each other.
If players during war die, their respawn time will get increased
If the attackers die on enemy land or neutral land they can be held prisoner

Defenders

After having received a war declaration, the attacking nation will get marked as an enemy and allied nations/towns will get notified.

You have 10 minutes per attacked plot.
Break the beacon to halt the offensive. You now have 2 minutes to stay in the attacking chunk and survive and it will get reclaimed. if it got reclaimed you can break the war flag and the chunk will return to your town.

If you surrender you will lose all plots already conquered and 100% of your banks money.

You can strategically place your sentinels on different plots or plots of interest to defend against the enemy.
If a sentinel gets slain there will be a message.

Initiating A Siege
A siege will happen similarly to a war, the enemy will instead place their war banner around the border of the town, each siege point lasts 10 minutes. The side with the most area dominance will win the plot. A siege is over once all the land around a town has been put under siege and disputed. The end result of the most dominance will determine if the attackers or defenders were the successful ones. If the attackers were successful they will get 100% of the banks money. If the defenders were successful the attackers will have to pay reparations for each plot of land to the defender.

Ranking up your Towns/Nations
There are 2 main ways

Either fighting 5v5 battles in an arena or going to war with another town or nation.
If you fight in the battle arena you can either choose it to be a friendly match meaning no need to set your town to hostile and no stakes.
Or it can be a war match where you have to be hostile and the winner takes all the loot as well as 100% of the enemy towns/nations bank.

Arena fights can only be initiated by Towns/Nations leader
Arena fights have a cooldown of 48h before the next fight.

The winning town/nation ranks up 1 point.
The loosing town/nation get deducted 1 point.

Fighting against another town/nation in a war will result in a 10 points win for the triumphant town/nation. and if the attackers lose a 10 point deduction for the attacker.

Towns/Nations will have a base point value calculated by the plots owned, the level of the plots, resident count, bank value etc.
